Duties
Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager, assists in developing and executing 30th Force Support Squadron brand. Manages multiple versions of content, designs, and implements new technology, recommends solutions for customers, and performs web search data analysis. Primarily responsible for creating, editing, publishing, administering and removing website, social/digital and print content. Responsible for development, design, writing and sending of weekly e-mail, text and website updates for the Vandenberg community. Works in tandem with other marketing specialists to develop creative promotions, information and direct marketing for both website pages and social/digital media. Develops content for all customer-facing formats, including website and digital/social media. Reviews copy, graphics advertisements and links to ensure quality and proper branding of website. Identifies and acquires job related requirements for equipment, supplies, and software.
Develops and implements campaigns, promotions and advertising to increase Vandenberg community participation with social and digital media. Performs limited market research using focus groups and surveys, provides data to activity managers. Assists with employment of proper publicity tools, including (but not limited to) the FSS website, e-mails, slides, posters, flyers, banners, road signs, monitor ads, the quarterly FSS magazine (FOG), and all social media outlets to effectively advertise facility events and inform the public about program availability. Assists with event planning. Performs other related duties as assigned.

This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and one every three years thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles
Must be able to work some nights and weekends if necessary.
Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds and have the dexterity to move promotional items and stand for long periods of time at both indoor and outdoor functions.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have 1-3 years progressively responsible work experience and skill in multi-channel marketing to include internet and social media, web content development, writing, publishing promotional and article content for the web, and e-mail campaigns.
Must have general knowledge of the principles and practices of marketing, special events, public relations and advertising.
Must possess broad understanding of web-based trends and technologies, including demonstrated experience with e-mail marketing and social media.
Must have formalized training in web development and design.
Experience using publishing tools across large websites.
Experience with content management systems.
Must have the ability to multitask and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Wordpress, and JavaScript, PHP, DNS, and Adobe Premier Pro, with the ability to work in a very fast paced environment.
Must have customer services experience dealing with internal and external customers.
Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds and have the dexterity to move promotional items and stand for long periods of time at both indoor and outdoor functions.
Must be able to work some nights and weekends if necessary.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background investigation.

Education
