Description

Who we are!

Elementl Power, a pioneering technology-agnostic advanced nuclear project developer and Independent Power Producer, is on a mission to revolutionize the deployment of nuclear energy by providing comprehensive turn-key development, financing, and ownership solutions. We specialize in facilitating access to clean baseload power, aiming to break the stalemate in traditional energy methods and pave the way for a sustainable energy future.

As we eagerly grow our innovative solutions in the nuclear energy field, we’re excited to welcome a Contract Manager to our team! In this role, you’ll take charge of creating, negotiating, and finalizing contracts related to small modular reactors (SMR). Your responsibilities will span from the start of projects through to licensing, execution, start-up, testing, commissioning, and even contract closeout, along with managing contract warranties. You will collaborate closely with our Chief Development Officer (CDO), General Counsel, and engage with legal entities to ensure that all contract development and management meets Elementl’s standards.

Requirements

What you'll do!

Define and implement Elementl's Contract Management procedures and processes tailored for project-level execution.

Drive contract management initiatives at the corporate level.

Create detailed contract formation plans and schedules that align with our operational goals.

Identify and set up key contract terms and conditions.

Craft Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and Requests for Proposal (RFP) with precision.

Establish streamlined internal processes for evaluating submitted RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.

Take the lead on contract negotiations, providing support and securing final approvals.

Manage contract administration activities, including change management, warranties, and project closeout.

Oversee staffing, training, and supervision of project-level contract management functions.

Determine the most suitable contract types, terms, conditions, and commercial structures that align with the defined work scopes and additional project support services.

Ensure that contract terms are designed to fulfill project requirements while optimizing cost, schedule, safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and risk management objectives.

Act as the corporate procurement lead for Elementl's Program Management Office (PMO) projects, shaping plans and executing comprehensive contract management operations, including the initial qualification, selection processes, bidding, evaluations, and contract negotiations.

Guide the development of all contract management activities, encompassing the overall project contracting strategy, individual contract strategies, Requests for Proposals, while effectively executing sound evaluation and award strategies, managing change orders/claims, warranty administration, and facilitating project close-out.

Support project mobilization by evaluating staffing and qualification requirements related to contract management, and assist the PMO in fulfilling these needs through resource allocation and corporate team support.

What you'll bring!

The preferred candidate will possess a degree in business, but pure sciences or engineering is preferred, and have 7 to 10 years of experience in procurement, contract negotiation, management, and administration, with a strong emphasis in the procurement of: technical and engineering services; owner's engineering firms; general contractors; engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms; and contractors and vendors that provide environmental site survey and analysis, geotechnical and subsurface exploration and analysis, landman services, and land drilling. A strong understanding of commercial terms and conditions typical of procuring these types of services is a must. While procurement experience in the commercial nuclear field is advantageous, it is not a requirement.

Your excellent organizational skills and sharp attention to detail will be crucial as you connect with key counterparties. As the Elementl Subject Matter Expert in contract management, you'll collaborate regularly with pertinent legal teams and provide advice to the Executive Team on contract matters. If you have outstanding problem-solving abilities and can skillfully engage with counterparts while addressing commercial challenges with finesse, we’d be thrilled to hear from you!

We’re aiming to find a permanent team member for this position, but we also welcome contractors who are interested in transitioning to a full-time role as we grow. The base salary range for this role is $90,000-$120,000, and has a bonus opportunity.
