Department:COM Pathology Clinical

Summary of Job Duties:Instructor of Pathology has responsibilities that will encompass predominantly clinical and education functions, in addition to scholarly activity. This position will serve as a fellow in our Surgical Pathology team. The Instructor will work with other faculty to cover services at UAMS in these areas, take routine call which includes weekend availability for case triaging, and evaluation of frozen and rush biopsies, and lead appropriate clinical conferences. We expect that he/she will develop research interests in Pathology and participate in collaborative work with investigators both within and outside of the Department of Pathology

Qualifications:

MD. Eligible for licensure to practice medicine in Arkansas Arkansas Medical License, Anatomic Pathology / Clinical Pathology board certified/eligible

Responsibilities:

Conducts clinical research studies and participates in general clinical research.

Develops clinical research proposals, applies for grants, and writes/submits study conclusions for publication in various medical journals.
