Firefighter/ EMT

The City is seeking qualified candidates to create a pool for upcoming the Firefighter positions.

As budget allows, we plan on adding 3 new full-time firefighters every 90 days for the next several years.

We are seeking motivated persons who will demonstrate their commitment to protecting life and property and providing service the Pearland way.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications outlined below to be considered for employment: High School Diploma or equivalent Texas Commission on Fire Protection Basic Firefighter Certification Texas Department of State Health Services EMT Basic Certification Valid Texas Driver's License Must be able to pass an online behavioral assessment Selection Process: Candidates who meet the basic requirements will be vetted through a written exam, physical agility test, and an oral interview panel.

Preference may be given to applicants with Paramedic certification.

Salary: Starting base salary $17.15/hr (Approximately $53,500 annual including FLSA overtime). Additional $450/month for those with Paramedic certification.

Additional certification pay available depending on qualifications.

Full Time
