Engineering Director

Primary responsibilities require extensive architectural and engineering expertise gained through significant experience and specialized training in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Technology Engineering.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the MEPT team leader for a designated territory by fostering successful client interactions while directing business development and marketing strategies that drive financial success.

Provide leadership and management for the MEPT staff in an assigned office.

Coordinate smooth operations on projects across all disciplines and departments to ensure that the final product is delivered to the client with the highest level of service and timeliness.

Ensure that all work produced is original and intellectually sound within the fields of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology consulting, consistently meeting the high standards set by Engineers for quality construction.

Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with business clients, leadership, field operations, Engineering divisions, project teams, contractors, and consultants.

Monitor and ensure the proper maintenance and compliance of project documents, files, and directories throughout the design stage, construction phase, project closeout, warranty review, and archiving processes.

Regularly communicate with senior leadership regarding all project-related and team matters.

Perform additional tasks to support and complement Engineers' leadership in overall client projects and team management.

Prepare engineering proposals and cost estimates for all systems, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, technology, fire alarm, and fire sprinkler systems.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

12+ years of experience in an AEC or engineering consulting firm.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

- Professional Engineering (P.E.) license required.

- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD for project design evaluation.

- Capable of conducting site inspections and observing fieldwork.

- Self-assess project work and budget to ensure timely, on-budget deliveries.

- timelines on budget.

Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Extras:

Skilled in MEP calculations, with project experience in the K-12 education sector.
