Gastroenterology Physician

Role Details:

Setting: Outpatient, Clinic/Procedure Coverage

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Weekend Requirements: NA

On-call Requirements: NA Duties:

Perform EGD, EVS, and general GI cases

Manage 12-15 procedures per day

Handle 8-10 clinic patients daily (30-minute slots)

Address cases such as IBD, abdominal pain, EOE, and minimal hepatitisProcedures:

General GI cases

Procedures use max sedation/propofol, supervised by an anesthesiologist

Procedure blocks: 30 minutes, with 12-15-minute durations (can double book/run two rooms)

Fujinon scopes utilizedAdditional Details:

EMR Systems: EPIC (Smartsets for ordering) and Provation

Support Staff:

MA, RN, Echo Tech, Lab Tech, Nuclear Tech, X-ray Tech

APP available on-site 2 days per week (depending on shifts)

Workload:

40+ procedures on the waitlist

40-50 clinic patients per week (Monday-Thursday)

Bowel prep at provider preference (e.g., Miralax)Schedule Requirements:
