Position
Large Regional Health System has a need and is seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to join an employed practice, and hospital.
Diagnosing and treating GI disorders including Crohn s disease, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, and other digestive diseases
Providing advice on diet and nutrition to patients and referring them to registered dietitians as needed
Performing endoscopic procedures, such as ERCPs, colonoscopies, sigmoidoscopies, upper endoscopies, duodenoscopies, gastroscopies, and barium swallows
Conducting research to advance knowledge about gastrointestinal diseases and treatments
Prescribing medications to treat digestive disorders and performing surgery to remove polyps or other abnormalities in the colon or rectum
Performing diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and stool tests to determine the cause of a patient s symptoms
Participating in continuing education activities to maintain professional certification
Referring patients to specialists if further diagnostic testing or treatment is needed
Providing medical care to patients with chronic diseases, such as diabetes or hypertension, to manage symptoms and prevent complications A ctive and consulting medical staff and care providers offer a broad base of primary and specialty care and services including:
