Hematology/Oncology Physician

Exciting Opportunity for a Hematology Oncologist in Clinton, Iowa!

Join a well-established practice at a state-of-the-art facility in Clinton, Iowa. This excellent full-time employment opportunity is ideal for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Oncologist/Hematologist. The practice is attached to a hospital and currently handles an average of 30 patients per day, focusing on adult and geriatric care. You'll have the chance to provide high-quality care in a supportive and professionally managed environment. Job Responsibilities:

Provide primary care coverage at MercyOne in Clinton, IA, with potential rotations at Genesis Health System in Davenport, IA.

Split time 30/70 between Hematology and Medical Oncology.

Manage after-hour calls, which are minimal and conducted by phone.

Conduct new patient visits, allocated 30 minutes each, and follow-up visits of 15 minutes.

Work alongside a dedicated support team, including four RNs, MA, CNA, and a receptionist.

Coordinate with hospitalists for infusion coverage as necessary.

Utilize onsite Radiation Oncology services as an outreach of the University of Iowa.

Leverage a strong primary care network for a steady stream of internal referrals.

Contribute to achieving COC (Commission on Cancer) Accreditation for the facility. Qualifications:

Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Medical Oncology.

Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Hematology.

Iowa license or willingness to obtain one.

Clean malpractice record preferred. License and Certification Requirements:

Must possess a valid state license in Iowa or be willing to obtain one.

Evidence of being Board Certified or Board Eligible in both Medical Oncology and Hematology is required.
