CNC Lead Operator

Job Description

Kimco Staffing is currently hiring for a CNC Lead Operator in Upland!

Days: Monday – Friday

Hours : 6 am – 2:30 pm + OT as needed

Location: Upland Ca

Pay: $30- $35 DOE

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes (primarily Haas).

Perform tooling changes and precision setups with minimal supervision.

Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.

Make program edits directly at the machine (G-code/M-code knowledge required).

Utilize Mastercam for toolpath creation and modifications.

Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

Assist with troubleshooting and process improvements.

Provide guidance to junior machinists and support a collaborative shop environment. Qualifications:

5+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience (mills and lathes).

Proficient in operating and setting up Haas machines.

Skilled in Mastercam for programming and toolpath optimization.

Strong understanding of machining tolerances, speeds, feeds, and cutting tools.

Ability to edit G-code and resolve in-process machining issues.

Leadership or mentoring experience is a strong plus.

Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
