Job Description: As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical utility projects. You will analyze project requirements, specifications, and drawings to determine the overall costs involved. Your role will involve collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure that all estimates are comprehensive and align with project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand the scope of work.

Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.

Analyze and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.

Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop accurate and competitive bids.

Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.

Maintain and update a database of historical cost data and pricing information.

Prepare and present estimate reports to management and clients.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating within the electrical utilities sector.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry standards.

Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in estimating software and tools.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary: $120k - $160k per year
