Job Title: Industrial Mechanic

Weekly Pay up to $40/hr (depending on overall experience)

Job Description

As an Industrial Mechanic, you will play a pivotal role in constructing an oil rig by building its mechanical and electrical components. Your work will involve ensuring the smooth operation of plant machinery and mechanical equipment, installing new equipment, performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns or malfunctions. To excel in this role, advanced mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery, excellent troubleshooting skills, and good time-management abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret engineering blueprints.

Install new mechanical equipment.

Service and maintain equipment, including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment.

Inspect and assess the functionality of mechanical systems.

Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns.

Adjust mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.

Fabricate parts for repairs and upgrades.Essential Skills

Advanced mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery.

Experience working with hydraulic machinery.

Ability to disassemble and assemble industrial hydraulic machinery.

Testing and troubleshooting of mechanical machinery.

Knowledge of 480v systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous work experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician/Electrician or on oil rig equipment/machinery.

In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.

Knowledge of parametric and industrial control systems.

Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.

Basic computer and report writing skills.

Good communication skills.

Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.

Work Environment

You will work in a custom fabrication shop located in Waco, a small startup facility. The position is a first shift opportunity from Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm, with the need to be open to working 10-hour days.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Waco, Texas.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $40.00/hr.
