BWSR, a partnership led by BWXT, is the Site Remediation and Overhaul subcontractor at the Naval Reactors Facility (NRF) located in Idaho Falls, ID. BWSR performs the remediation of legacy nuclear and environmental materials on site. The main project areas at the site include remediation of historical research facilities, demolition of buildings, and characterization of site-infrastructure to support on-going maintenance and construction.

**Radiological Controls Supervisor - BWX Technologies/Technical Services Group / BWSR - Idaho Falls, ID**

**Position Summary:**

This is an exempt position reporting to the Radiological Controls Manager for the Site Remediation and Overhaul subcontractor of facilities at the Naval Reactors Facility (NRF) site located in Idaho Falls, ID.

**Responsibilities / Duties:**

This position is responsible for maintaining strict radiological standards, control or radiological and environmental work operations and procedures, and providing on the job supervision of all radiological and environmental work. This position is the supervisor for Radiological Control Technicians (RCTs).

+ Provide radiological oversight and leadership for crew personnel to ensure the highest radiological standards are kept.

+ Assign RCTs to tasks and provide technical supervisor of RCTs in the performance of their jobs.

+ Review and approve radiological monitoring reports performed by RCTs.

+ Responsible for the daily administrative, employee relations and disciplinary issues concerning RCTs.

+ Interprets radiological control requirements, participate in task scoping and provides technical review of work documents.

+ Primary interface with customer radiological and operations management personnel concerning radiological issues.

+ Provide guidance for proper handling and documentation associated with radioactive material and sources.

+ May be required to act as alternate Radiological Controls Manager as needed.

+ Primary person-in-charge at the scene of radiological casualties.

+ Other duties as assigned by management.

**Job Qualifications / Requirements:**

+ A two-year college degree in math or science and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the Naval Reactors Program as a RCT supervisor or senior radiological technician. However, experience in lieu of education may be considered with customer approval.

+ The candidate will be required to qualify as a supervisory RCT per section 106.2 of LAB-RC-0288.

+ The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Respirator qualifications.

+ Must be a US citizen – no dual citizenship.

+ The ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" clearance – a current clearance is preferred.

+ The ability to obtain and maintain radiological dosimetry in the Naval Reactors Program.

Pay: $[[cust_salaryMin]] - $[[cust_salaryMax]]

The base salary range for this position in [[stateProvince]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[cust_salaryMin]] and $[[cust_salaryMax]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
