General Summary: This individual is a part of the marketing team and will serve as the product management lead for one or multiple brands' marketing efforts during the 6-month contract. Executes specific tasks and manages projects within brand strategy in support of marketing objectives. This position is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of marketing plans to drive volume and profitability of assigned brand(s), both individually and through leading cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, detail-oriented, analytical, and a team player, who has three to five years of related and product management experience, preferably within the consumer-packaged goods industry.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Analytics

Manage shipment and consumption data, identify patterns and provide outlook and recommendations to drive business performance and brand health

Initiate and perform business analyses, identify issues and opportunities and make recommendations to Marketing Manager/Director by turning data into insights and stories to drive growth

Lead monthly business assessments.

Complete sales analysis such as new item updates, promotional and distribution analyses, and merchandising effectiveness.

Assess brand strategy including SWOT Analysis (Strength, Weakness, Threat, Opportunities), and media performance. Business Management

Develop and manage volume and spending forecasts and make recommendations to Marketing Manager/Director of yearly volume, annual budget/spending, and process recommendations.

Track brand forecasts and brand marketing expenses throughout the year to manage within the given budget.

Lead cross-functional teams on assigned projects, developing and managing timetables and milestones, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and managing outside suppliers (e.g., agencies/vendors). Projects such as: commercialization, marketing programs, media performance, portfolio optimization, etc. Marketing Planning

Execute delegated portions of the marketing plan within the budget and on time.

Partner with Market Research/Insights on research projects to support marketing objectives and brand strategies.

Collaborate with sales and category insights on the development of key marketing programs as it relates to selling materials, marketing investment, creative execution, and analysis of program success

Understand and help develop channel and pricing strategies and developing programs and products to support key customers. Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Experience with data analytics; ability to translate data into a story

Knowledge of either Circana (IRI) and/or Nielsen data and software preferred

Consumer / Business curiosity

Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree required; degree in Marketing preferred and 3-5 years related experience, consumer packaged goods experience strongly preferred.

Working Conditions: Hybrid Work Model, including Monday and Friday Work from Home, and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in normal working conditions for an office environment downtown Chicago, IL.

Travel: Minimal, 0-5%

Other Qualification, Safety Procedures: Must be willing to follow and comply with communicated Company, Travel, and Retailer safety procedures, which may include COVID-19 testing or following other safety procedures in order to attend meetings, travel domestically or internationally, comply with Retail Partner safety procedures, and/or follow other workplace health and safety requirements to fulfil job duties.

What we offer: This is a 6-month temporary, W-2 contract role. It offers a competitive hourly rate of USD $60.00-$67.00 at the time of this posting. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to position offered, education, skills, work experience, and other factors permitted by law. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This position may also be eligible for a contract completion bonus. This role is also eligible for up to ten (10) Paid Company Holidays during the 6-month contract when aligned with our standard Company Holiday Schedule, not including Personal Flex holidays, along with ten (10) Vacation days to use during the 6-month contract timeframe. As a 6-month temporary contract role, this role is not eligible to receive any employee benefits, including, but not limited to, health insurance, personal/sick pay, or participation in the Company's 401(k) plan.
