Overview

Summer internship in Las Vegas at Golden Nugget Las Vegas. Rare opportunity to work hands-on in the marketing and property operations of award-winning 2,400-room hotel, which includes world-renown pool, eight restaurants, eight bars, entertainment lounge, nightclub, showroom, retail, and spa/salon.

It is the responsibility of the Digital Marketing Intern to assist in all areas of digital marketing, content creation, strategy and ideation, web updates, email, website, social media analytics, monitoring online reputation, and communicating with co-workers. The ideal candidate would thrive on a mix of creative, technical, analytical and production duties and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The Digital Marketing Intern will support other operating areas of the casino resort, including Hotel Operations and Guest Service functions. The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, highly motivated, and able to multi-task. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company's brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. - Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Responsibilities

Assists in gathering and creating photo and video content, data and miscellaneous assets for email, social media and all other digital formats.

Assists with Email production and deployment.

Proofreads, quality controls and traffics email and all other digital media prior to deployment.

Contributes to copywriting needs online and in print formats for collateral, mail pieces, and signage

Gathers and updates content on company website.

Provides recommendations for Search Engine Optimization and website quality.

Audits and ensures all online content is up to date and accurate.

Basic image manipulation and resizing.

Assists with Google Analytics, SEO, and social media analysis and listening

Assists as needed in all areas of digital marketing including but not limited to: SEO, search, display, social, video, mobile, content creation, marketing automation, and customer data management.

Assists Executive Director of Digital Marking with miscellaneous projects as needed.

Assists with reporting and monitoring KPIs in all areas of digital marketing.

Collaborates on cutting edge Digital and AI initiatives to support other operating departments as needed-Hotel, Pool, Nightlife, F&B

Participates in department and property meetings and industry events

Collaborates with external partners-including but not limited to Nellis Airforce Base, The Black Hole Raiders Fan Group, Fremont Street Experience

Engages in competitive shop programs to compare hotel offers, casino programming, websites and email strategies

Helps facilitate photo shoots, media inquiries, and filming requests Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

6-weeks commitment of 40 hours each week

Project task assignments may include weekends, nights, and holidays as assigned

Be enrolled full-time in a college or university, studying marketing, communications, web development or a related field.

Familiarity with social media strategies and response platforms

Ability to multi-task and take initiative

Imitative to work with occasional short deadlines for the creation of marketing materials

Must be an ambitious self-starter with the capability to research and initiate new content ideas

Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong creativity and attention to detail

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Mathematical Skills:

Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities. Language Skills:

Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.

Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.

Must be able to complete standard forms and reports. Education and/or Experience:

Must be a student during the term immediately preceding the internship

Must submit a resume of courses and/or experience related to position applying

Must provide a minimum of 2 letters of recommendation from college/university professors or faculty staff

3.0 minimum cumulative GPA

Must be pursuing a Master's Degree in Marketing or related field.

Candidate must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.

Minimum of 3 months experience with:

Marketing Research

Writing and proofreading

Graphic Design

Microsoft Office
