Corporate Program Coordinator
Job Description:
Recruit students for Transportation Technology programs, advise students; as well as, identifying field experience opportunities.
Essential Functions:
Converse with dealer representatives, corporate representatives, other business representatives and prospective students using current technical terms related to the Caterpillar, GM ASEP, John Deere and other Transportation Technologies programs.
Meet with students and parents at both the dealership location and Owens to facilitate orientation and work with dealership and student services representatives at each location.
Attend various recruiting events w/ regional, state, and sometimes national focus (Skills USA, regional and state FFA events, VICA, etc.)
Schedules and participates in recruiting events for the School of Technology.
Travel to regional Caterpillar and John Deere dealer partners in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and their nearby high schools to review and assist dealerships in selecting prospective students for the corporate programs.
Work with the Caterpillar, GM ASEP, John Deere, and other corporate representatives and the Transportation Technology Chair to maintain and complete paperwork to obtain equipment and donations.
Maintain communication between the student, dealership, and instructors during the students' work experiences at the dealerships.
Work with regional representatives to assist with surpluses or shortages of students/interns between regions thereby maintaining the highest enrollment possible for these Owens classes.
Use visible presence at specific recruiting locations to increase enrollments.
Expand the internship prospects in the Transportation Technologies programs so the majority of students have the option of an internship in a local dealer.
Assists the Chair with the Department's outcomes assessment and operational planning.
Assists the Chair in cooperating with the Admissions Office and the Advising Center in selected aspects of admissions and student placement.
Assists Chair with state and national certifications and accreditations.
Attends high school and career center advisory committees as related to Transportation Technologies.

Up to one year of specialized or technical training beyond high school
Qualified applicants will need experience working with Service Managers within the dealerships of Automotive and Diesel Service, Caterpillar and John Deere facilities.
Experience related to sales, recruiting and advising students. Preferred Qualifications:
Associate Degree or two-year technical certificate
