Chipton-Ross is seeking a Project Controls Analyst for a contract opportunity in Topeka, KS.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
General finance experience required, including strong proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software. Experience supporting transmission and substation projects preferred. Must be able to work independently, handle diverse data sets, and communicate effectively. Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Windows-based applications required. Must possess a valid driver's license.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as intermediary between engineering, real estate, procurement, and construction for transmission/substation projects. Primary responsibilities include creating and analyzing project completion reports detailing material, labor, and overhead charges. Responsibilities also include:
" Forecast and budget development with stakeholders
" Monthly tracking, variance analysis, and Capex/O&M reporting
" Cost estimation in collaboration with engineering
" Initiating work requests and reporting timely in-service/completion
" Assisting with schedule development and progress updates
" Responding to ad hoc reporting needs from regulatory bodies
" Entering journal entries, supporting process improvement, and providing administrative support

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Background in managing transmission/substation assets. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Familiarity with financial reporting and project cost control. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to handle large data volumes and multiple priorities.
