Description:
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the Agency’s IT department, including network infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, and technical support operations. This position ensures the efficiency, security, and reliability of the Agency’s technology resources while managing IT staff, including the Systems Administrator and IT Support Technician. The IT Manager works closely with organizational leadership to align technology strategies with business objectives and reports directly to the Human Resources Director. OSHA regulations apply to this position.
Job Tasks:
1.) Oversee daily IT operations, including network management, cybersecurity, help desk support, and infrastructure maintenance.
2.) Lead and manage IT staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
3.) Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and security.
4.) Manage IT budgets, procure hardware and software, and negotiate vendor contracts.
5.) Ensure compliance with data security regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
6.) Oversee system upgrades, software implementations, and network infrastructure improvements.
7.) Troubleshoot escalated technical issues and support IT staff in resolving complex problems.
8.) Collaborate with organizational leadership to develop and execute long-term IT strategies.
9.) Maintain data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
10.) Perform other duties as assigned consistent with this job description and the expectations for this position.
Knowledge of:
1.) IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
2.) IT service management, help desk operations, and best practices for IT support.
3.) Enterprise software, database management, and system integration.
4.) Compliance standards related to IT security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
5.) Budgeting, procurement, and vendor management in an IT environment.
Skills in:
1.) Leadership and team management, with the ability to mentor and develop IT staff.

Other:
The incumbent must possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to fulfill the job requirements. A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, with at least five years of IT experience, including management responsibilities. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, ITIL, PMP) are a plus. A flexible schedule may be required to meet the needs of the Agency, including after-hours system maintenance and emergency response.
