Position Purpose Summary:

Heritage Distribution Holdings Central Region is seeking a results-driven Territory Manager for our refrigeration business. This Territory Manager role will establish and expand relationships with current and prospective customers by discussing their refrigeration needs and offer potential solutions to meet their needs. This position has a direct impact on customer satisfaction, retention, and sales results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Refrigeration Sales & Growth

Develop Refrigeration sales strategies for the Central Region, aligned with national refrigeration business goals.

Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, and attending trade shows and conferences.

Grow sales and provide premium customer service to existic HVAC accounts as well as new customers; emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs and technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations.

Analyze competitor activities in the region and assess opportunities for business development.

Prepare sales contracts for orders obtained and submits orders for processing.

Attend trade shows to research and stays current with new products and technologies to identify opportunities for new business.

Attend conferences and conventions to meet other sales representatives and clients and discuss new product developments.

Participate in company-sponsored meetings to review sales performance, product development, sales goals, and profitability.

Leadership & Collaboration

Partner closely with internal teams to execute refrigeration initiatives effectively.

Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as effective selling strategies and marketing information.

Provide feedback to HDH Business Development on products, competitive positioning, and market dynamics.

Support change management efforts, particularly around new product introductions and evolving market needs

KEY EXPERIENCES & SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

7+ years of experience in key account or sales leadership within the HVAC/R or related distribution industry.

Demonstrated success in market development, vendor negotiations, and strategic planning.

Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships with people at all levels.

Excellent self-motivation with a proven track record of success.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of HVAC equipment and supplies.

Strong analytical skills and ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies.

Ability to travel up to 30% of the time to support market and vendor engagement.

Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all deliverables.
