Role Summary:
The Program Manager - Partnerships will report to the Senior Director of Private Sector Partnerships and serve in our Program Partnerships department in support of our organizational mission to accelerate health equity globally. The Program Manager will be responsible for managing partnerships that are essential to delivering medication, technology, and services to patients facing cancer and other critical illnesses. While managing key partnerships, they will contribute to program planning and provide collaborative support for program strategy, implementation, and operational processes.
Responsibilities:
Manage and grow strategic partnerships, representing The Max Foundation in external engagements, including meetings, calls, and site visits
Manage development and submission of funding proposals, donation requests, reports, and other key deliverables for Max Access Solutions programs
Support business development initiatives by identifying and cultivating new opportunities for partnerships to expand Max Access Solutions
Conduct program monitoring and evaluation, reporting program outputs and outcomes to external stakeholders
Manage confidential patient information and/or requests for data between affiliates with sensitivity and discretion
Support the implementation of program policies and procedures
Build and maintain relationships with patient advocacy groups, key opinion leaders, and other relevant organizations
Provide strategic and operational support on The Max Foundations global health systems strengthening and social determinants of health programs, including the development and tracking of project work plans, timelines, milestones, and reporting
Facilitate trainings for programs team-members, including identifying relevant topics, scheduling, tracking participation, and collecting feedback
Guide regional team-members in implementing Patient Access Tracking System (PATS) functions -- e.g., opening countries for new drugs, approving new physicians, sending Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and drug label signature and review requests
Support onboarding of new team members, responding to the dynamic needs of a global team
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required, Masters degree in a related field preferred
5-7+ years of professional work experience in global health programs
Robust experience in program and stakeholder management
Proven ability to navigate complex organizational structures and evolving reporting responsibilities
Cultural awareness and familiarity serving international populations
Strong analysis and technical writing skills, pharmacovigilance reporting experience a plus
Self-starter who takes ownership over tasks and has meticulous attention to detail
Critical thinker and problem solver with excellent judgment and decision-making skills
Competence with software applications (Microsoft Suite, database management, project management)
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; Verbal and written fluency in French, Spanish or another language a plus
