Network Engineer
Location: On-site – Washington, DC
Residency Requirement: Must reside in DC, MD, or VA
Clearance: Public Trust (background check required)
Start Date: June 1, 2025
Schedule: Monday–Friday, between 7:00 AM–6:00 PM EST (core hours 9:00 AM–3:00 PM EST)
Overview
The Network Engineer will support the daily administration, operation, and troubleshooting of on-premise network systems supporting a federal judiciary client's Office of Information Technology. The candidate must have experience with enterprise-level network configuration, user and system connectivity, and secure infrastructure operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day network engineering and operational support
Assist with the administration of firewalls, switches, and routers
Respond to service tickets and support requests promptly
Implement changes, perform diagnostics, and maintain network availability
Coordinate with client IT leads and participate in task-based reviews
Required Skills & Tools
Transport engineering and network administration
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues on-site
Familiarity with secure environments and access control policies
Strong documentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting federal or judiciary clients
Familiarity with FISMA/NIST cybersecurity and data protection standards
Ability to work independently while maintaining compliance with defined procedures
