Location: On-site – Washington, DC (Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building)
Residency Requirement: Must reside in DC, MD, or VA
Clearance: Public Trust (background check required)
Start Date: Targeted for June 1, 2025
Schedule: Monday–Friday, core hours 9:00 AM–3:00 PM EST
Overview
The Software Developer will support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of custom web-based applications for a federal judiciary client. The ideal candidate is experienced with full-stack Microsoft development technologies and has strong skills in requirements analysis, technical design, coding, testing, and documentation within an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop secure, scalable .NET-based applications
Maintain and enhance internal systems and public-facing applications
Develop SQL Server stored procedures, triggers, and views
Implement user roles, access restrictions, and workflow logic
Collaborate with QA and infrastructure teams to deliver high-quality software
Participate in Agile ceremonies and backlog grooming
Create technical documentation and assist in knowledge transfer

Microsoft .NET 4.8 / .NET 8.0 (C#)
SQL Server (T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Views, Triggers)
Telerik / KendoUI, Bootstrap, JQuery
Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Test Plans)
Agile SDLC methodology
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio)
Preferred Qualifications
Federal or Judiciary experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
