Position Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

This dual-role staff member welcomes guests, sets them up for a great day on the hill, and supports both the front desk and rental shop. They balance technical skills (fitting bikes, issuing tickets) with great customer service and clear communication.

Key Responsibilities (What You Do)

Primarily responsible for answering telephones, handling cashier transactions, stocking retail, and performing other clerical duties.

Greet guests and walk them through the rental and check-in process.

Set up customers with the correct bike, helmet, and pads; ensure fit and safety.

Sell tickets and passes using our POS system.

Maintaining an awareness of all product knowledge information, merchandise promotions, and advertisements

Resolving customer problems, such as customer complaints

Informing customers of prices, anticipated closures, and any additional information needed by customers.

Ensuring guests accurately complete rental forms.

Checking returned rentals for damage.

Establishing and maintaining customer profiles and preparing claim forms.

Explain rules, trail maps, and bike park safety protocols.

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front-of-house and shop.

Support basic maintenance tasks when needed (e.g. chain lube, tire pressure).

Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

High School diploma, GED, or related experience.

Must be 16 years or older.

Able to work up to 40 hours per week, including during holidays, weekends, and evenings, as necessary.

Prior cashier experience preferred.

Basic Knowledge of the POS System.

Ability to accurately serve as a cashier, including processing credit cards, making change, and performing other basic math skills

Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions.

Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to the work schedule.

Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.

Ability to communicate orally and in writing

Ability to complete paperwork and keep records in an organized fashion.

Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions.

Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency, follow and adhere to all company standards.

Strong communication skills and good judgment skills in dealing with guests.

Ability to react quickly under pressure.

Excellent stamina is required. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.
