Job Description
The Screening Operations Technician II is responsible for setting up, preparing, and monitoring manufacturing machines/equipment related to the furnace and screening operation in the plant. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining equipment, performing quality checks, and ensuring smooth operations throughout the shift.
Shift Availability
Rotating Day & Night Shifts – 12 Hours (Includes weekends and holidays as part of the rotation)
Compensation and Benefits
Pay: $24.55/hour
Weekly pay

Key Responsibilities
Safely operate and maintain forklifts and sifting equipment
Perform routine equipment checks and necessary repairs (e.g., screens, boots, hoses)
Perform start-up, shutdown, and daily operation of plant machinery
Operate screening equipment, inspect and repair/replenish screens
Sample production for quality assurance (e.g., IP gradation, finished goods QA)
Maintain material levels in the furnace operations
Track and manage screen inventory, order new supplies as needed
Conduct weekly and monthly inventory checks, assist with audits
Maintain accurate logs and document operational data
Understand and optimize processes like bead rounding, screening, heat treatment, and coating
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues as they arise
Participate in plant meetings to improve scheduling and material flow
Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations, including monitoring emissions and dust levels
Participate in HSE initiatives like toolbox meetings, audits, and accident investigations
Maintain certifications for forklift, scissors lift, and hoist operation
Work closely with management, maintenance, and team members to ensure smooth operations
Actively contribute to safety and problem-solving committees
Identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma/GED
Post High School Technical School or College a Plus
Experience:
3 to 5 years of Manufacturing Environment Experience preferred
Operational Experience with production machinery/equipment preferred
3 to 5 years forklift operations and/or certification preferred
Skills/Knowledge:
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access
Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
Detail-oriented and able to follow verbal and written instructions
Working Environment & Physical Demands
Environment: Non-climate-controlled facility – high heat (110 ree;F+)
Ability to lift 50 lbs., walk, stand, bend, twist, push, and squat throughout the workday (High Elevations, Physically Demanding)
Must be able to hear and respond to machinery alarms and sounds
