About the Role:

Provide exceptional service to all members, guests and coworkers by performing essential duties effectively and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Include the following, but other duties may be assigned.

RESPONSIBILTIES

Greet & welcome all arriving guests

Escort diners to tables & assign servers

Answer telephones

Create & maintain waitlist for dining area

Knowledge of Open Course reservation system: Make, cancel, change, and or add notes to a reservation. Close out or open a meal period.

Knowledge and of Silverware: Open, enter, close and Void a check.

Must have current Food Handlers Card.

Monitors reservations and assists in reservation table assignments.

Ensures guests are greeted quickly and graciously, seated at a clean and properly set table within the shortest amount of time possible.

Communicates vital information clearly with service staff, bussing staff and kitchen.

Assists in maintaining cleanliness of dining room, restroom and perimeter of restaurant.

Properly completes all involvement with the guest service sequences.

May offer assistance to guests by clearing away dishes and glassware, and refills beverages.

Continually cleans and organizes menus and dining room reception area throughout shift.

Checks side-work schedule for the day and completes assigned duties.

Checks high chairs and booster seats for cleanliness.

Attend scheduled training seminars and staff meetings.

Regular and reliable attendance.

Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.

Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company associates and purveyors to promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, efficiency and effectiveness.

Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position.

Maintains a professional standard at Glade Springs to include but not limited to: appearance, verbal discussions, written correspondence and interactions with members, associates and guests. Does not discuss confidential items with fellow associates or work-related issues with members or guests.

Other tasks as assigned by the Restaurant Manager.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Education and Experience:

Some customer service experience and food & beverage knowledge

Must have the ability to communicate in English

Self-starting personality with an even disposition

Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times

Communicates well with guests

Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a ‘team player’

Dress code for Glade’s Grill:

Simple black dress, black flats

Black dress pants, black top, black shoes
