Inventory Control AnalystSummary

Vulcan Industries is looking for a dynamic Inventory Control Analyst to join our team. The Inventory control analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting inventory control processes. The role ensures efficient material flow and accurate stock levels through daily activities such as data entry, stock adjustments, material audits and reconciliation tasks. Examines stock to verify quantity and conformance to specifications. Prepares periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock. Keeps records of materials issued and labor hours. This position plays a key role in supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the materials management function.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONs

Verifying quantity and quality of inventory by performing routine inventory audits.

Allocating storage space for incoming goods

Investigates inventory discrepancies and collaborates with warehouse, production, and shipping teams to resolve root cause.

Maintains accurate inventory data in ERM/MRP system (e.g. Global Shop).

Supports monthly and quarterly inventory processes including reconciliation reports, variance tracking and corrective action documentation.

Using forklift to move inventory

Generates inventory reports and supports KPIs related to inventory accuracy and material availability.

Works closely with materials, quality, and operations teams to ensure traceability and proper inventory handling.

Complies with all safety, quality, and regulatory procedures related to inventory management.

Assisting with physical inventory

Reporting for work regularly and on time

Microsoft office (outlook, word, excel)

Use of barcode scannersSkills

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical or logistics training preferred.

2+ years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations, ideally in a manufacturing environment.

1 year experience driving a forklift.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Perform basic math operations with common fractions and decimals.

Must speak, read and write fluent English.

Excellent computer skills (Microsoft office).

Working Conditions

Inside, non-climate-controlled environment, variable workdays and hours. Overtime will be required.

Physical Demands

Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Climb and balance.

Kneeling, crouching, stooping

Standing & walking repetitively

Performance Standards Required

Accurate and timely movement of material and finished product to meet plant production, incoming trailers and distribution schedules consistent with company safety and work regulations.
