Description:

The Estimator/Project Manager (EPM) is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and resource stewardship to the organization’s operations. This role includes overseeing project estimating, material ordering, and budget adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze blueprints, building plans, and specifications to extract detailed information for cabinetry, fixtures, and materials.

Prepare budgets, cost estimates, and project timelines.

Communicate with clients to determine project scope.

Conduct comprehensive cost analysis for project profitability.

Assist the sales team in closing deals through follow-up.

Identify required materials and their costs for each project.

Issue Requests for Information (RFIs) where project data is incomplete.

Submit bid documents after internal review and approval.

Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, and site supervisors.

Conduct field measurements and prepare shop drawings.

Execute value engineering proposals when directed.

Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers on delivery and logistics.

Manage the transfer of material samples to clients.

Propose process improvements to align estimates with actual outcomes.

Support executive team in enhancing company capabilities.

Stay updated on building codes and AIA division delineations.

Skills & Core Competencies Preferred:

Strong understanding of the real estate and construction industry, especially in:

Multi-family housing

NYC affordable housing

Tri-state area landlords

People management with a commitment to excellence and strong support.

Proficiency in:

Bluebeam

Microsoft Office Suite

CRM systems

20/20 Kitchen Design

Mosaik

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Solution-oriented with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Positive, can-do attitude.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Customer service mindset with a solutions-driven approach.

Educational & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field.

Valid driver’s license.

5+ years of experience in real estate or construction, preferably with:

Multi-family projects

NYC affordable housing

Landlord-focused renovations

Proficiency in Office 365 (especially Excel), 20/20 Kitchen Design, and Mosaik.
