Description:

The Operations Planner is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing production and stockroom schedules using Infor SyteLine ERP system. This role ensures efficient resource allocation, timely production, and inventory accuracy to meet organizational goals, customer demands, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with ERP systems, and a deep understanding of production planning and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Scheduling:

Create and maintain production schedules within Infor SyteLine to ensure timely completion of manufacturing jobs.

Coordinate with Operations leadership to align schedules with capacity, material availability, and delivery deadlines.

Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate changes in demand, resource constraints, or unforeseen disruptions.

Ensure accurate tracking of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods

Collaborate with procurement and Operations teams to streamline material flow and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.

Infor SyteLine Utilization:

Leverage Infor SyteLine to input, track, and analyze production and inventory data for accurate planning and forecasting of Manufacturing.

Generate and maintain reports and dashboards (PowerBI) to provide visibility into production status, inventory levels, and operational performance.

Maintain data integrity within the ERP system, including job routing and work orders.

Capacity Planning:

Analyze production capacity and resource availability to optimize scheduling and ensure efficient use of labor, equipment, and materials.

Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve throughput and operational efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with Production, Procurement, and Incoming Receiving to align schedules with business objectives.

Communicate schedule updates and changes to relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of plans.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities to streamline planning processes, reduce lead times, and improve inventory turnover.

Participate in lean initiatives and process improvement projects to enhance operational performance.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

2+ years of experience in production planning, inventory management, or operations scheduling.

Hands-on experience with Infor SyteLine or similar ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor).

Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supply chain operations.

Skills:

Strong proficiency in Infor SyteLine, including modules for production planning, inventory management, and scheduling.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
