This position is responsible for the effective execution of all maintenance work control processes by managing work priority, developing job plans, defining parts, materials, crafts and skills and also to coordinate in purchasing and distributing materials, equipment and supplies in an organization by performing the following duties.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Stable work history in areas such as purchasing or supply chain positions preferable in a manufacturing environment required. Valid driver’s license required.
JOB DUTIES:
Contact/communicate with vendors obtaining competitive pricing and information on parts for mechanical manufacturing equipment.
Complete and process purchase orders for necessary parts, entering information into a mainframe computer system.
Verify information/costs upon receipt of invoices; forwarding to Corporate Office for payment.
Monitor and track plant inventory in accordance with the established preventative maintenance program.
Assist in determining and maintaining minimum/maximum on-hand inventory quantities for mechanical manufacturing equipment parts.
Provide parts reports as requested on purchases, costs and on-hand supplies.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting expected parts usage.
File work orders.
Plans all maintenance with special attention to regulatory requirements that may apply, e.g. OSHA rules, EPA regulations, USDA requirements, state and local environmental regulations. Ensures all safety requirements are clearly defined in all maintenance planning.
Develops and maintains planned and predictive maintenance procedures and routes as required.
Prioritizes all planned work orders.
Reviews completed work orders for completeness and accuracy, updates and supervises updating of machinery history data in the CMMS system. Analyzes historical data in order to take action to mitigate reoccurring issues.
Assists Plant Maintenance Manager in contractor qualifications and performance management.
Updates the CMMS system equipment including machinery data, machinery history, and spare parts lists.
Produces a weekly maintenance work schedule as well as a projected work schedule. Using the CMMS system, forecasts work force needs for equipment maintenance.
Participates in compliance audits for PSM to include preparing for the audits, tracking status of recommendations against due dates to ensure zero late action items and ensures documentation is available for employees at the facility.
May have responsibility over the MRO Inventory transactions, including stocking items received, parts disbursements, returns, inventory audits and adjustments, serving customers at the parts room, data entry of maintenance documentation and researching orders.

Ability to provide necessary reports for management staff.

Ability to operate all office equipment required to achieve job duties, such as computers, typewriters, fax machines, calculators and telephones.
Basic math ability.
Ability to interpret and work from oral and written instructions.
Knowledge of organizational methods and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to drive a vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Ability to assist in other work related areas.
Ability to work daily and available for overtime as required.
Responsible to assure the products manufactured at Essentia are safe and meet the customer’s quality standards.
Must be able to distinguish if food safety violations or product quality issues occur and resolve immediately or, if unable to resolve immediately, contact the Plant Manager and/or the QC Supervisor.
Knowledge of CMMS system preferred
