Located in Uvalde, Texas, our client seeks a dedicated CNC Programmer/Operator to contribute to their commitment to precision and innovation. Responsibilities:

Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software based on engineering drawings and specifications (3 & 4 axis).

Assist in crafting fixture plates and holding fixtures for parts production.

Set up and configure CNC machines, selecting tooling, calibrating machines, and setting up fixtures.

Test programs for accuracy, troubleshooting any machine programming and operation issues.

Operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machinery to fabricate parts to precise dimensions.

Monitor machine operations, making adjustments to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.

Perform manual machining tasks using conventional lathes, mills, and grinders.

Inspect manufactured parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.

Collaborate with the quality assurance team and engineering to resolve production issues and improve processes.

Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools, replenishing the necessary consumables.

Adhere to safety protocols while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Suggest and implement process improvements to boost productivity and efficiency.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC programming.

Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam or Fusion.

Ability to edit G-code and M-code from CNC controllers.

Comprehensive knowledge of work holding, fixtures, machine speeds and feeds, and tool selection.

Strong ability to read blueprints, GD&T, and use precision measurement tools.

Capable of diagnosing and troubleshooting machining issues, recommending corrective actions.

Strong focus on accuracy, precision, and quality control to meet tight tolerances.

Effective communication skills for collaboration with engineers, the production team, and quality assurance.
