About the Sioux Falls Stampede:

The Sioux Falls Stampede is a Tier-1 Junior Hockey team that plays in the United States Hockey League (USHL). The Stampede have won the USHL Organization of the Year award three times in the past nine years and were also recently Clark Cup Champions in 2018-2019. The Stampede ranks among the top per-game attendance throughout Junior, College, and Semi-Pro Hockey organizations and play at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. Over 40 former Stampede players have gone on to skate in the NHL.

Internship Description:

The Game Presentation and Community Engagement Associate will work approximately 30 hours per week in the Stampede front office, plus all 30 home games. This is a paid internship from Mid-August 2025 through April/May 2026. This person will play an important role in the preparation of all home games and will have a leadership position on game nights. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Office:

Invoice corporate partners and assist with record keeping and CRM management

Help develop and prepare promotions from ideation to implementation

Help create in-game video board content using Adobe Photoshop and other programs

Create timing sheets for each game

Create staffing sheets for each game

Create music script for each game

Help coordinate promotions in advance of games

Help manage and schedule part-time employees and game night interns

Opportunity to earn commission through ticket sales

Assist other departments/duties as needed.

Community Engagement:

Assist in the communication with non-profit organizations and schools regarding player appearances and volunteering in the community.

Help organize multiple community service opportunities for players each month, including weekly schedules

Create a community engagement calendar and track hours for each player

Supervise community service opportunities with players.

Games:

Lead a game night staff that runs all in-game and on-ice promotions,

Oversee sponsorship activations and promotions

Coordinate set-up and tear-down of all team-related items
