Job Title: Equipment Operator

Job Description

This position involves handling cars that are brought in for scrapping and draining all fluids from them. This is an extremely hands-on and dirty job, requiring the use of hand and power tools. A strong mechanical aptitude is essential to locate and drain various fluids from vehicles. Additionally, there is an opportunity to operate equipment and learn to run the shredder.

Responsibilities

Drain fluids from cars using hand and power tools.

Operate heavy equipment as needed.

Assist with learning to run the shredder.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Essential Skills

Work Environment

The position is based in a metal recycling facility where work is conducted outdoors and among various outbuildings. Employees are exposed to the elements, but equipment cabs are enclosed and heated for comfort. Core working hours are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with the facility open from 5 AM to 5 PM, allowing for flexible schedules. Optional overtime is available, and the company is accommodating of personal commitments with prior communication.

This is a Permanent position based out of Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $46000.00/yr.
