Location and Work

This position can be remote with East Coast hours, but candidates located close to the Independence, Ohio, or Emerald Isle, North Carolina, offices are preferred with a hybrid schedule.

About the Position and the Team

The Application Development Manager will lead a Product Development team focused around Avercast, an Integrated Business Planning Software as a Service product. We will look to this person to help us improve our Sales & Operations Planning areas of the application. The position will actively lead a team of developers while sharing in and performing development activities themselves. This position will work closely with a Product Owner and Development Director to develop and deploy functionality.

Responsibilities

Exhibit and cultivate a continuous improvement mindset in areas of people, product, and process

Hire, mentor, and coach a team responsible for building a robust, highly available application hosted primarily in Azure.

Work with the Product Owner to confirm, scope, and deliver application functionality in releases.

Lead Development of Sales & Operations Planning, Supply Chain Planning, or Financial planning-based applications.

Manage project(s) across your team and work with them to resolve design and/or implementation issues

Engage in project planning initiatives working with your team to fulfill project estimation, design, systems technical and functional architecture, and planning needs

Lead Development sprints and planning sessions and facilitate team retrospectives.

Monitor and track the status of projects your team is involved in and manage the team to effectively mitigate risks, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with exceptional quality

Qualifications and Skills Required

Minimum of 8 years of experience with software development

Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in software development leadership-related role

Application Experience with Sales & Operations Planning, Supply Chain Planning or Financial planning-based applications

Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff

Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

Development experience with Typescript and Angular development

Extensive experience with database-intensive applications

Familiarity with Azure technologies

Experience with Data Management, Analytic Semantic Data Modeling, and system caching are pluses.

Experience with Software Development Life Cycle and software development toolset

Daily problem-solving and attention to detail

Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
