Employee Assistance Program (EAP) POSITION SUMMARY: The Tooling Engineer will be responsible for designing injection and compression molds and fixtures, support mold construction by programming 3-axis CNC machines, troubleshooting LSR molds, and sourcing of tooling, materials, machinery and automation with a focus on cost, quality, and customer expectations.

Designs molds using SolidWorks. Program's 3-Axis CNC milling machines using Mastercam to support mold fabrication. Mold troubleshooting and optimization.
Interacts with customers, vendors, toolmakers, and outside engineering personnel.
Participates and coordinates project meetings to keep projects on track until completion of validation and transfer to production.
Provides technical support to the sales team.
Draft technical documents including project timelines and quotations for both tooling, part pricing and engineering expenses.
Coordinates the sourcing of injection mold tooling and related molding equipment utilizing both domestic and overseas sources.
Works with internal/external stakeholders to coordinate the validation of the injection mold process and work cell through IQ, OQ, PQ validation process.
Coordinates engineering changes and molds repairs with both internal and external resources.
Provides training and guidance to the engineering and production technician teams.
Support current production needs for troubleshooting and process improvement.
Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements.
Ensures ISO and safety standards are adhered.
Leverages industry practices and applies to internal systems and processes.
Plan and organize layouts for line changes due to volume changes or manpower reductions.
Understand and execute all plant policies and procedures. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
EDUCATION: Certified Moldmaker or Associate's Degree or a combination of experience and education, Bachelor's Degree in Plastics Engineering preferred.
Knowledge of injection mold tooling construction to optimize cycle time and outputs.
Familiar with CAD platforms, preferably SolidWorks.
Familiar with CAM platforms, preferably Mastercam.
Experience: 3-5 + years experience in an ISO 13485 certified injection molding operation.
OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess good written and verbal communication skills with our internal and external customers. Basic knowledge of equipment. Advanced ability to read prints and use measuring equipment along with advanced math skills.
