CDL Class A Local Driver - 2nd Shift

JA Frate offers LTL, TL, Flatbed and Expedited services within the Chicagoland, Northern Illinois, Indiana and Southern Wisconsin areas.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Class A Driver to join our team! As a CDL Class A Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials locally in a safe and timely manner.

We currently have a 2nd shift (2pm start time) available - this is a full-time position at our Waukegan Terminal. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9-10 hour shifts. No weekends.

*Candidates will be asked to train at our Crystal Lake home base terminal (paid mileage)*

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations

Transport goods and materials to various locations across the Northern Lake County Illinois and Southern Wisconsin areas

Ensure all cargo is secured properly and safely

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle

Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups

Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members

Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies Requirements

Valid CDL Class A license

Minimum 23 years of age

At least 2 years of experience as a CDL Class A Driver

Pick up and delivery experience

LTL experience

Hazmat and Tanker endorsements a plus!

Clean driving record - no more than 2 moving violations in last 36 months

Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol test, DOT physical and Functional Capacity Physical

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to work overtime, as needed
