Under general supervision of the Lab Operations Director, the incumbent will provide oversight and leadership to the team responsible for lab services at the site. This role is responsible for coordinating the efforts of lab services drawn onsite and sent offsite for processing, as well as working with stakeholders across the MGB system to optimize workflows.
The Supervisor will also work alongside the other phlebotomists in blood draws when not performing administrative duties.
This position is also responsible for educating and training staff in the department.
We are currently hiring a full-time, 40-hour Lab Supervisor to work on site Monday-Friday from 8:00 am and 4:30 pm! Our Lab Supervisor play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our Lab patients.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Ownership of hiring and corrective action in conjunction with manager/director
Oversee phlebotomy operations with monthly statistics
Monitor staff productivity and provide appropriate feedback and oversee performance improvement.
Coordinate functions and activities of phlebotomy operations
Ensure timely and accurate payroll
Conduct performance evaluations
Handle patient concerns and ensure quality assurance
GDevelop conflict resolution and team coordination skills

Education/Degree requirements:
• Required: Requires completion of High School or Equivalent, and Certificate of completion in Phlebotomy or Medical Assisting or a phlebotomy course as part of an Associate or Bachelor Degree program such as nursing.
