Title: Electrical/Electronics Engineer

Location: Long Branch, NJ

Job Type: Full Time/Permanent

Summary:

The Electrical/Electronics Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and technical documentation of hardware designs within a Life Safety organization. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure alignment with design methodology, best practices, and project objectives.

Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise:

Collaborate with various engineering teams, focusing on design reuse and efficient project execution.

Work closely with firmware and mechanical engineering teams to ensure alignment and seamless integration.

Adhere to best practices for requirements and data management, schematics, layout, design for manufacturing, design for testing, and regulatory standards.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation using digital tools such as Jira, Jama, Confluence, etc.

Analyze and explore alternative solutions to address complex technical challenges. Electronics Verification and Testing:

Develop and implement hardware test strategies, plans, and procedures.

Support hardware verification activities, including specification reviews, design reviews, schematics/layout reviews, integration tests, environmental testing, ad hoc debugging, and hardware/firmware interface debugging.

Collaborate with test engineers to write and execute hardware tests while ensuring alignment with project goals and quality standards.

Observe existing processes and suggest improvements where necessary. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

A minimum of 3 years of electronics design experience. Skills:

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Familiarity with fire alarm systems, emergency communication devices, and related protocols is a plus.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
