Volt is immediately hiring for Software Test Engineer in San Diego, CA.
As a Software Test Engineer you will: Work closely with a global cross-functional team to validate and quality test the HMI software applications utilizing the Agile development and test process.
Expected contributions include but not limited to: · Ability to evaluate and validate software applications.
· Ability to execute, add new test scripts on test automation suite for validating software changes.
· Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot existing test scripts.
· Work closely with developers to determine appropriate solutions for quality issues.
· Proactively research best evolving methodologies and work with the team to help define best testing practices Actively participate in quality review process.
This is a full time contingent opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have: Minimum Qualifications: · BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or Computer Engineering · 2+ years of experience in software quality testing · Strong background in test automation tools Desired Technical Skills: · Good Experience in Python Programming, Selenium WebDriver · Expertise in implementation of Automation framework using Python · Proven experience as an Embedded Software Testing or similar role.
· Excellent knowledge in testing skills (design test plan and test strategy, write and testcases, open and verify bugs in Azure DevOps or similar environment) · Strong analytical skills to understand a given test requirement and provide work estimates.
· Working knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar environment.
· Strong knowledge and understanding of data payload using JSON and XML.
Pay Rate: $30/hour-$45/hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
