Network Engineer

Title: Network Engineer Location: (Seattle, WA / Arlington, VA US) Duration: 12 months potential for extension/conversion to FTE Pay Rate: $60 - $ 65/hr Must Have: Technical Expertise DWDM Optical Networks In-depth understanding of DWDM transport networks, including design, planning, and implementation.

Knowledge of how DWDM networks are built, connected, and integrated with IP router layers.

IP Networking: Strong understanding of router and switch connectivity within large-scale networks.

Ability to assess the implications of changes on both DWDM and IP layers.

Hands-On Experience Minimum 7 years of experience in designing, planning, and implementing DWDM optical networks.

Proven experience in large-scale production networking environments.

Hands-on experience with site outages, validations, and installations.

Automation Skills Basic Python scripting skills Ability to read and understand existing code.

Make small adjustments to scripts as needed.

Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks used in network operations.
