ABOUT THE ROLE

Trojan Battery Company is looking for someone who enjoys making safety a priority in the workforce for the role of Environmental Operator. You will be working with the Environmental Health and Safety team to ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is being tracked, distributed and cleaned. You will be an integral part of assisting with orientation, hygiene studies and tests. If you are passionate about safety and have an attention to detail, Trojan Battery is looking for you. SHIFTS

2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

THE DAY-TO-DAY

Operate and maintain waste water treatment system/equipment, ensuring compliance with state and federal environmental protection limits.

Perform appropriate analytical tests and maintain documentation.

Monitor movement, removal, storage, labeling, and shipping of hazardous waste.

Distribute and track inventory of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Track timeliness and perform schedule daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly inspections of various areas, equipment and processes.

Assist Department Manager with new hire orientation, industrial hygiene studies and test.

Perform necessary housekeeping in department areas; e.g. baghouses and storm water routes.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

2-year degree preferred or equivalent knowledge/experience.

1-3 years’ manufacturing/plant experience in hazardous material production environment.

Forklift certification.

Waste Water certification preferred.

Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
