Position Summary:

The ESG Analyst will act as a key member of the compliance management framework of the Gerald Group. This role will support the Global Head of Sustainability and ESG as well as Senior Management in the design, implementation, and effectiveness of the company’s Sustainability and ESG Strategy.

Responsibilities:

· Assist with the monitoring, reporting and promotion of the company’s ESG and Sustainability strategy.

· Support the design, implementation, disclosure and reporting of project specific ESG metrics including respective communications and stakeholder engagement activities.

· Assist with the development and production of the annual Sustainability report.

· Assist with the preparation of other key annual ESG reports, as well as materials to support responses for the various ESG inquiries.

· Maintain regular tracking of external ESG ratings, including monitoring data, updating it for accuracy and identifying key reporting gaps.

· Support the preparation of key ESG materials for communication with institutional investors, banking partners and other financial stakeholders and in preparation of key materials for internal communication.

· Monitor evolving trends in the ESG space including investor stakeholder requirements, developments and evolving ESG best practices, development of ESG disclosure frameworks and stewardship principles/guidelines of top investors.

· Conduct ESG due diligence for trade, and other counterparties, including maintaining the log of all clearances up to date.

· Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, Geology, Mining Engineering, Biology, Chemistry or related field preferred

· 2-3 years of experience in ESG/sustainability reporting preferably in mining/metals

· MBA strongly preferred

· Experience in conducting due diligence for responsible supply chains aligned with the OECD Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas and similar international standards

· Experience in carbon accounting and reporting a plus

· Good analytical and organizational skills

· Ability to work independently and under pressure

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· High level of attention to detail

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with additional language being a plus

· Ability to work in office 5 days a week

· Ability to travel 30% of the time to Sierra Leone and other locations worldwide
