Volt is immediately hiring for Part-Time Staff Accountant in South Austin, TX.

Perks of the Job: Paid time off Quarterly bonus pool One tank of gas per month (after 90 days) As a Part-Time Staff Accountant, you will: Manage accounts payable and receivable, including past-due collections Perform month-end closing and prepare financial statements Maintain the general ledger and file sales tax Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly Process bi-weekly fuel fleet card reconciliations Handle weekly payroll processing via Alliance/All Pay and record in Sage Monitor cash flow, manage budgets, and analyze spending Maintain fixed assets and ensure contract compliance Conduct cost analysis, job costing, and cost accounting Provide front office support: answer phones, input orders, coordinate with production, order supplies, and handle end-of-day invoicing Complete ad hoc reporting and other tasks as assigned This is a part-time, Direct Hire opportunity (Max 30 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 6 hours/day). Schedule: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM with a 1 hour lunch.

The ideal candidate will have: 3+ years of bookkeeping experience (required) Experience in wholesale or manufacturing (a plus) Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Willingness to learn Sage and Salesforce Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Salary: $50,000 – $55,000 per year Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
