Job Title: Fire Power Mechanical Engineer Job Location: Sterling Heights Michigan 48310 Onsite Requirements: CAD tool Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering Defense/aerospace experience Job Description: Need Mechanical Engineers to design, develop, integrate and release system, subsystem assemblies and corresponding components, and provisions for various systems and subsystems mechanisms, within motion control, fire control, and auxiliary systems.

This department has a strong concentration in the field of gun/turret drives and racerings, a plethora of assorted weapon systems, its integration into various legacy and new platforms and design of its associated hardware/ ammunition handling or feed.

Ability to design articulating, locking or sliding provisions to Human Factors requirements Must possess CAD software experience, preferably Creo, UGNX, Visio, or Solidworks Able to provide technical guidance with Design Services to create models, installation and detailed drawings and provide technical support for concurrent engineering Able to read technical drawings and perform tolerance stacks.

Working knowledge of GD&T is a plus.

Possess a working knowledge of FEA (ANSA, with Nastran and/or LS-DYNA solvers) is a plus Able to support procurement and on site prototype build/integration activities and resolve issue(s) Other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Required B.S.

in Mechanical Engineering.

5-7 years in a professional engineering role.

Self starter, highly motivated Perform preliminary design and analysis derived from requirements Work in an Integrated Product Team environment and be able to communicate across functional organizations Performing failure analysis & be able to provide technical direction for corrective action solutions Write technical reports & modification instructions CAD modeling capability for generating feasible design concepts A working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required Must be able to work in office, shop, plant, test lab and test site environments Must be able to work overtime if required Must be able to travel if required **3rd party and subcontract staffing agencies are not eligible for partnership on this position.
