SUMMARY

The Test Engineer is responsible for conducting various tests on software, hardware, and other products to ensure their quality and functionality. They work closely with the development team to identify and fix any issues or bugs in the product.

Must possess appropriate level of certifications for this position as required by the contract.

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performs functional, regression, and performance testing on software applications.

Develops and executes test cases and test scripts based on project requirements.

Identifies and reports defects or issues found during testing.

Collaborates with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues.

Participates in test plan reviews and provide feedback for improvements.

Maintains test documentation and ensure it is up to date.

Assists in the creation of automated test scripts using testing tools.

Conducts compatibility testing on different platforms, browsers, and devices.

Stays updated with the latest testing methodologies and technologies.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree and zero to two (0-2) years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
