Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator for our 2nd and 3rd shifts. The role involves operating packaging and processing machinery, ensuring high-quality production of various products. The position offers competitive hourly rates and shift differentials based on experience and skill set.

Responsibilities

Coordinate production tallies with the Production Supervisor.

Operate packaging and processing machinery effectively.

Maintain clear and open communication with the Supervisor and/or Lead Person.

Follow established Sanitation/Quality Assurance/HACCP and GMP procedures.

Comply with company and OSHA safety policies.

Keep work area and machinery clean, performing specified cleaning at the end of product runs and shifts.

Offer suggestions to improve efficiency, safety, and working conditions.

Perform and record hourly metal detector checks, package verification checks, and weight checks.

Ensure lot traceability and assist in inventory control.

Maintain flexibility to perform additional duties as required, including roles as a Production Worker.

Follow all Food Safety and Quality Policies and Programs.Essential Skills

Ability to read work-related materials and follow directions.

Working knowledge of mechanical components and electronic controls.

Understanding of chocolate composition and troubleshooting.

Positive and effective communication skills.

Mental ability to work as a team member and support co-workers and company policies.Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience in production or manufacturing is preferred.

Ability to stand for 8 to 12 hours a day and lift up to 25-50 lbs.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company documents.

Work Environment

The work environment requires PPE, including ear plugs, safety-toed shoes, jackets, and hair/beard nets. While not climate controlled, the facility is very comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. Our products include well-known brands such as Hershey's bars and various pretzels.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of York, Pennsylvania.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33280.00 - $41600.00/yr.

Fully bilingual facility in both English and Spanish (must be able to read and write in on of the 2 languages)
