Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced PCB Designer with strong troubleshooting, problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills to support a major client in the Redmond, Washington area. This position is remote.

Job Description:

Work with the Hardware Engineering team to provide Schematic and PCB board designs. Layouts range from simple to complex, multi-layer printed circuit boards containing analog, digital, RF, SiP, signal impedance control, and power components.

Act as liaison with PCB vendors to select proper materials, stack-ups, obtain impedance specifications, DFX rulesets, assembly requirements, and resolve any manufacturing related issues.

Create and manage PCB documentation including fabrication and assembly packages.

Work with document control department to release fab and assembly packages into company-wide PLM system.

Collaborate in a team environment across engineering disciplines.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

6+ years of PCB Design experience using Altium or Cadence/Allegro.

Knowledge of IPC, JEDEC, IEEE, and other electronic standards.

Experience in creating schematic symbols and PCB footprints in libraries.

Experience interpreting datasheets and schematics to generate netlists and proper constraints in the layout design.

Experience in designing multiple PCB types:

HDI Design

Rigid, Flex, and Rigid-Flex Design

Wire Bonding Design

Aluminum Backed Design

Experience in designing high speed differential circuits, power circuits, analog and RF circuits.

Preferred Qualifications:

BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

8+ years’ experience of PCB layout design using Altium or Cadence/Allegro.

Experience with SVN, GIT, P4, or similar version control systems.

Proven track record to design & manage all aspects of the printed board design.
