BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Information Technology (IT) Subject Matter Expert at a Senior levelto join a strong team supporting our government customer. This position will provide the ability to make a significant impact to the mission.
The IT Subject Matter Expert Senior shall serve as the primary expert supporting Jira Service Management and the broader Atlassian suite, including related integrations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Manage configurations, workflows, automations, and user roles across various projects.
+ Support enterprise users, optimize service delivery processes, and align Atlassian tools with ITSM best practices.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and training skills
+ Ability to translate business requirements into effective Jira/Atlassian solutions
+ Strong scripting or automation experience (e.g., Groovy, ScriptRunner, or PowerShell)
+ Demonstrated ability to support ITSM practices such as incident, change, and problem management
+ Experience integrating Jira with identity management, monitoring tools, and external platforms via REST APIs
+ Strong familiarity with the Atlassian ecosystem
+ In-depth knowledge of Jira custom workflows, automation rules, service desk queues, SLAs, and request types
+ 5-7 years of experience configuring and administering Jira Service Management in enterprise settings
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
