MA Quality & Stars Internship - Cambia Government Programs Twelve-week full-time internship to begin in May/June 2025 Remote within WA, ID, OR, or UT The Medicare Advantage Quality and Provider Engagement team drives quality improvement and Stars performance through strategic partnerships with providers and internal stakeholders.
We develop and implement comprehensive strategies to enhance quality outcomes, improve member experience, and optimize Stars ratings.
Our team analyzes performance data, identifies improvement opportunities, and creates targeted interventions in collaboration with provider groups.
We manage provider quality incentive programs, deliver actionable data insights, and support practice transformation initiatives.

Duties and Opportunities may include: Project and Initiative Support * Facilitate the organization and execution of operational and strategic planning sessions within and across stakeholder teams * Synthesize and document outcomes and action items from operational and strategic planning discussions * Assist in developing implementation roadmaps for current and potential performance improvement initiatives * Create and maintain business process and project documentation and tracking tools * Support other quality improvement initiatives as required Performance & Analytics * Acquire an introductory understanding of measuring, reporting, and improving Stars measure performance * Support data validation and quality control process review and analysis * Identify actionable insights for organizational leaders using new and available reporting resources * Enhance performance reporting and analytics processes by defining process steps from data request to reporting deliverable Competitive Intelligence * Research industry-best practices for MA Quality and Stars performance improvement strategies * Conduct market-level analysis on the industry landscape and trends, including health plan, provider, and member information * Analyze publicly available CMS Star Ratings data across markets to identify potentially adoptable lessons for Cambia * Create competitive intelligence summaries and reports Other Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Participation in various professional development events such as executive lunches, community service projects, industry and/or leadership training Combine your education and analytical ability with the following skills to meet the position qualifications: * Minimum of two years university education working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree * Required intermediate skill level of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Experience with AI applications such as CoPilot preferred.
* Self-driven and independent, capable of working a project/assignment with clear direction while not requiring daily supervision * Ability to synthesize large, complex information sets and present insightful analysis and recommendations * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment * U.S.
