PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Primarily responsible for preparing chicken fillets before or following nitrogen dip to meet company or customer specifications for further processed poultry product. Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulation
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Under minimal supervision, manually spread, straighten and unfold poultry fillets in preparation for or after nitrogen dip.
Adhere to all safe work practices, policies and procedures, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures product quality; reports any condition or practice that may adversely affect food safety, food quality and/or personnel safety
Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Manual dexterity needed
Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work in a wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC)
Ability to stand up to 8 hours
Exposure to wet and dusty environment
