Job Title: 2nd Shift Production Supervisor (DIRECT HIRE)
Shift schedule: 4:00pm-3:00am Monday-Thursday

The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor plays a pivotal role in leading the area of responsibility and the shift they are championing. The supervisor must ensure the achievement of the highest safety, quality, and operating performance while enabling positive employee engagement. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to coaching and mentoring employees, and a relentless pursuit of continuous improvement. The supervisor is responsible for maintaining plant safety, quality standards, and procedures, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, driving implementation, and ensuring sustainability.
Responsibilities
Ensure safety, quality, productivity, and workplace organization standards are met.
Lead Safety incident root cause investigations and implement permanent corrective actions.
Support and maintain all Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and processes.
Arrange the safe storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals in the Batch Room, including the segregation and disposal of hazardous wastes.
Understand product quality requirements and serve as a resource for quality assurance and approval as needed.
Participate in Quality Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and supplier corrective actions.
Coach and mentor employees to support personal and organizational development and enforce company discipline when appropriate.
Support training for full-time and temporary employees in safety, quality, and applicable equipment operation.
Track, monitor, and take ownership of operating performance and associated KPIs. Intervene when performance deviates from trend targets and identify paths for recovery and sustainable improvement.
Interface with Production Scheduling and ensure the achievement of the Operating Plan and schedule.
Ensure all work orders are completed on time and accurately.
Verify that all work orders are updated in the ERP system and that all line clearance responsibilities are done appropriately.Essential Skills
3-5 years of manufacturing production experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Proven experience with ERP systems such as Syspro, SAP, or similar.
Good listening and interpersonal skills with effective oral and written communication.
Ability to effectively drive the production team to meet operating expectations.
Experience in the control and management of chemical manufacturing, storage, handling, and disposal, including hazardous materials.
Certification and demonstrated experience in LEAN and Six Sigma principles.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment:
We make a variety of different eco friendly cleaning solutions with multiple production lines in the facility (8-10). As a supervisor, you will oversee around 40 people on the 2nd shift, primarily general production workers and machine operators. Will not be hands on with product.
