The Planning and Development Services Department is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative professional to support a variety of key functions. This role will be responsible for monthly business reporting and analytics, driving process improvements, managing procurement activities, and assisting with departmental budgeting. Qualified candidates may be considered for the Business Professional II level, depending on experience and credentials.

About the Position

As a Business Professional I, you will...

Create, manage, and analyze monthly reports and provide insight to department leadership.

Assist in developing the department budget.

Assist and/or lead process improvements, creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other various projects as assigned.

Support procurement initiatives for the department.

Assist and support the department's Strategic Plan initiatives.

Business Professional II, includes above + Procurement and Grant Management:

Administrative agent to facilitate the development of contracts, agreements, controls, RFPs, and reviews.

Prepare and monitor project/contract schedules, milestones, and vendor performance measures.

Monitor and manage contract budgets, annual agreement budgets, and exemption budgets.

Prepare reports and graphs for financial spending trends.

Research and monitor the potential grant application process and track results of grants from beginning to end.

About the Schedule

Work Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (No weekends!)

After you complete your first six (6) months of employment, this position is eligible to work remotely one (1) day per week (contingent on work requirements and other factors).

About You

To thrive as a Business Professional I, you must have:

An Associate degree -with- three (3) years of job-related experience.

-OR- A Bachelor’s degree in a job-related field -with- one (1) year of job-related experience.

-OR - Five (5) years of professional related experience can be substituted for the degree, at managements discretion.

To thrive as a Business Professional II, you must have:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Planning, Industrial/Engineering Technology, or a job-related field -with- two (2) years of job-related experience.

-OR- Six (6) years of professional job-related experience can be substituted, at management discretion, for the required education.

-OR- Related professional program/project management may substitute for the required education at management discretion.

Preferred Qualification:

Work experience in contracts management, procurement, and/or data analytics.

Knowledgeable in Budget planning and reports.

Physical Demands: Employees in this role must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.

About Everything Else

Starting Pay Range:

Business Professional I: $53,456.00 - $57,200.00 based on your experience

Business Professional II: $56,139.20 - $60,008.00 based on your experience
